From Local Beginnings to Regional Impact

Our story began in 2000, when the Graetz family purchased a small local business shortly after moving to Coffs Harbour from Darwin. With a strong background in electrical work and pumping systems, we saw a need for better access to modern technology and expert service. At that time, solar energy was still emerging, and irrigation options were limited.

Our goal was simple: to make innovative power and water technology accessible to local homes, farms, and businesses, backed by dependable advice and genuine service, something that still defines us today.

A Family Legacy Continues

North Coast Power + Water has always been a family business, built on local knowledge and community values. After gaining experience nationally in the energy and water sector, Managing Director Brendan Graetz returned to take over the family company, guiding it into a new era of growth and innovation.

Reaching the 25-year milestone reflects what matters most to us: local expertise, reliability, and real community connection. It’s also a testament to our loyal customers, dedicated team, and trusted partners who have supported us along the way.

Over the past two decades, our products and services have evolved alongside rapid technological change. Solar systems are now more efficient and affordable, heat pumps are the preferred option for hot water and pools, and wireless irrigation allows growers to manage their systems remotely.

Water filtration and treatment have also become essential as our customers prioritise health and quality. We’ve expanded our offering to meet these changing needs while maintaining the same commitment to reliable, full-service support.

We’re a tight-knit team that values honesty, craftsmanship, and pride in doing the job right. That culture of trust and quality is what keeps our standards high and our customers coming back year after year.

By diversifying our suppliers and keeping stock on hand, we’ve been able to continue serving our customers without interruption. Looking Ahead: A New Chapter

As we celebrate 25 years, we’re also looking forward to exciting growth. Later this year, we’ll move into new, larger premises at Coffs Garden World, featuring an expanded showroom, seven-day trading, and a wider range of products including tanks and plumbing supplies.
