About the Role

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping customers, solving problems, and getting hands-on with practical products. You’ll assist both retail and trade customers, whether it’s a homeowner needing better water pressure, a farmer upgrading irrigation, or a plumber collecting gear for their next job.

You’ll provide advice, prepare quotes, process sales, and support customers in-store, over the phone, and online. The right person will build strong relationships with our local trade and farming communities — people who rely on us for reliable service and honest advice.

As we grow, you’ll have opportunities to specialise in areas like irrigation, power systems, or pool equipment depending on your skills and interests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve retail, trade, and farm customers in-store, online, and over the phone
  • Identify customer needs and provide practical, fit-for-purpose solutions
  • Prepare quotes and assist with sales proposals
  • Coordinate with the warehouse and service teams to ensure smooth order fulfilment
  • Support product displays, stock management, and merchandising
  • Help improve systems and processes as we expand

What We’re Looking For

  • Friendly, approachable, and confident dealing with people
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to learn technical products (training provided)
  • Retail, trade, or customer service experience preferred
  • Willingness to help across departments when things get busy

Previous experience in pumps, irrigation, solar, plumbing, or water treatment is highly regarded but not essential — we’ll teach the right person.

What We Offer

  • A flexible work week culture built around teamwork and balance
  • Staff pricing across our full range of products
  • Ongoing supplier training and development
  • A supportive local team where initiative and effort are valued
  • Career growth opportunities as the business expands
  • We’re flexible with hours and open to full-time, part-time, and casual arrangements — finding the right person for the role is what matters most.

About Us

North Coast Power + Water supports local growers, tradies, and homeowners with complete water and power solutions — from pumps, irrigation systems, and tanks to solar, hot water, filtration, and pool equipment.

About the Role

We’re looking for someone with a knack for problem-solving, design, and customer support to help deliver reliable, efficient irrigation solutions.

You’ll work closely with our projects and sales teams to design, size, and quote irrigation systems for a mix of agricultural, commercial, and residential customers. Most work will focus on commercial farming and greenhouse irrigation, but may also include smaller residential or landscaping systems.

The right person will combine technical understanding with strong customer communication — translating needs into practical designs that deliver results. There’s also scope to support field teams and contractors to ensure projects are delivered on time and to spec.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and size irrigation systems for agricultural and commercial applications
  • Prepare quotes, proposals, and supporting documentation for customers
  • Liaise with suppliers and manage pricing for components and systems
  • Support contractors and oversee delivery of design specifications
  • Assist with in-store or trade customer irrigation enquiries when required
  • Contribute to improving design tools, templates, and processes

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in irrigation design, agricultural engineering, or a related field (preferred)
  • Strong understanding of hydraulics, flow, and pressure principles
  • Confident using design or quoting software (training provided if needed)
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills
  • Practical mindset — comfortable liaising with farmers, tradies, and suppliers

Experience with Rivulis, Netafim, Amiad, Toro, Hunter, Goldtec, or Tavlit will be highly regarded, but not essential.

What We Offer

  • A flexible work week culture that values teamwork and balance
  • Staff pricing across our full range of products
  • Ongoing supplier and technical training
  • Career growth opportunities as we expand our irrigation and project divisions
  • A supportive local team that values initiative and quality work
  • We’re flexible with hours and open to full-time, part-time, and casual arrangements — finding the right person for the role is what matters most.
